My story
artist statement
Carolyn Bowles is an artist and photographer who is creatively fueled by her travels around the world. Her abstract work is characterized by saturated colors, playful shapes, spontaneous markings, and happy vibes. The photographs she creates are known for their punchy pastel colors taken in soft, natural light. No matter the medium, Carolyn's art is sure to make people, and their homes, smile!
i'm so glad you're here!
Growing up, my parents saw how much I loved to create. At an early age they signed me up for painting classes in an artist's home once a week. Over my years there I learned so much about color mixing, layering, composition, and technique. Plus, it was just super cool to be able to paint all the time! This was the start of my creative journey.
Fast forward to my career first as an ad agency writer, then as a brand developer, and today, as a photographer and abstract artist. Creating has been and will always remain at the heart of all I do!
Travel is my love language. There's nothing better than traveling the globe with your people. Favorite spots are NYC, Paris, Hawaii, and Disney!

One of my favorite things to do is linger in coffee shops. Whether at home or traveling, I love grabbing coffee and hanging with locals.

Coco Chanel was a true fashion icon. My signature scent is her Coco Mademoiselle. I'm often asked about my perfume. It brings a little luxury to my everyday.
