My parents signed me up for classes in an artist's home once a week. Over my years there I learned so much about color mixing, layering, composition, and technique. And, it was just super cool to get to paint all the time!
In 2007 I opened the doors to my own photography business and ever since have been serving and loving clients well—-creating images they love and will treasure forever! It's been the biggest honor!
My entire life I've been creating. Here's my story and timeline:
Fast forward to high school where I was always the one staying after school with my camera and Kodak film to work in the darkroom—watching plain white paper slowly turn into a piece of art as it sits in a chemical tray.
Straight out college I became a creative writer where I worked with brands to create ads and new product ideas. I was able to work with big name brands such as Kellogg's, Pampers, Charmin, Head 'n Shoulders, Jimmy Dean, HoneyBaked Ham, and more!
Then, in 2020, everything changed in an instant. The globe shut down due to a fast-moving virus and I asked myself the question: how can I use this time? The answer was loud and clear.
So, I got out my old Liquitex paints from the '80's and got to work painting again. Every day in the studio felt bright and happy. I wanted to share this optimism with others. The spark of an idea to create my first abstract art collection had been ignited.
This is the year I'm just going for it! Living out my dreams of being an artist, photographer, and educator. Creating will always be at the center of everything I do. I'm filled with gratitude to be able to walk this journey. And,
Travel is my love language. There's nothing better than traveling the globe with your people. Favorite spots are NYC, Paris, Hawaii, and Disney!
Give me tacos with a side of guac and I'm a happy girl! Is there anything tastier? It's an easy way to bring everyone around the table.
I fashioned a purple pair in middle school and today can be seen wearing their signature black and white checkered ones. Vans are the coolest!
One of my favorite things to do is linger in coffee shops. Whether at home or traveling, I love grabbing coffee and hanging with locals.
A pop of blush pink always seems to show up in my abstract art work. It's also a color I highly recommend clients wear to photo sessions!
Coco Chanel was a true fashion icon. My signature scent is her Coco Mademoiselle. I'm often asked about my perfume. It brings a little luxury to my everyday.
Bring on all the pixie dust, Dole Whips, fast passes, Mickey Bars, and cue It's A Small World music. Dreams do come true in the happiest place on earth!
A box of macarons is the way to my heart! So pretty and delicious! Rose and pistachio are favorite flavors. Love treating myself when I pass a shop.
Grab an iced coffee or your favorite beverage of choice and let's keep hanging out on the blog.
