This collection is inspired by the magic of the bright, colored holiday lights I loved as a child growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia—and that I seem to love even more today!
This body of work evokes feelings of bright joy as it explores composition, tension between shapes and brushstrokes, interactions among opaque and translucent, and of course, color! I pushed these paintings until the subconscious started to shine and break through. These moments can be enjoyed in the form of energetic, playful paint markings.
