Artist's Note:
This piece is one of two that sat in a studio corner unfinished for months. Honestly, I almost tossed it in the trash. I'm so glad I didn't! One day I felt brave enough to get started working on it again. And, it turned out to be one of my favorites! I learned even though the path might be ugly and unexpected, the outcome can be beautiful—complete with texture, interest, and a rich story beneath it all. This was created alongside the artwork THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!

This piece is currently being donated to Cincinnati Young Life's annual silent auction fundraiser. Young Life is an organization that shares the message of Jesus' love with middle school, high school, and college students. As a WyldLife leader myself, the group for middle schoolers, it's a cause that's close to my heart. I'm happy my art can make a difference in the world—especially in a kid's world!
